≡ IPI Golf Handicap

I have recently applied for an IPI Handicap to be able to formalize my golf handicap that is acceptable to the federation of golf clubs which basically consist of the best private golf clubs in the philippines.

I need to apply for this handicap because every year i join this big member-guest tournament at Orchard Golf and Country Club im the guest of my member friend. The thing is my handicap is in the vicinity of 25-30 but because i am not a member of any of the member golf clubs of the federation of golf clubs of the philippines im entering the tournament with a “0″ handicap where only the pros and best amateur posess so me and my friend really dont have a chance at winning anything beside of course the 2 BMW’s that is up for grabs in the raffle which is for everyone.

I have played the founders cup tournament the last two years and as expected we didnt rank anywhere near the middle of the heap of our Class which is “A” and thats thanks to my handicap which is “zero”.

Last week i went out with my golf buddies and the founders cup was suddenly brought up, and i learned that my Founders Cup member partner for 2 years is dropping me this year because i still dont have my official handicap. Well, i understand why hes doing it i know he wants to win in the lower divisions so i said its fine ill just look for someone else thats looking for a guest partner.

Luckily, my other Orchard member friend offered that if i get an official handicap before the tournament then he’ll be more than happy to accomodate me as his guest partner. So by the power of the internet i searched for other ways to achieve an alternative handicap giving body that is acceptable to the federation of golf clubs of the philippines. An i did found out about IPI Golf Club and i wasted no time applying for it and i only need 5 games for them to issue me an official golf handicap.
